Beef Pepper Fry

INGREDIENTS

  • Beef - 1 Kg cut into small or medium pieces.
  • Onions - Finely chopped, 2 portions.(1 portion for cooking in step 5 and other portion for frying in step 8. If more onions is added in step 8, then it adds more taste to the dish.)
  • Turmeric - 2 tbl. spoon.
  • Chilly powder - 1 tbl. spoon.
  • Coriander powder - 2 tbl. spoon.
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbl. soon.
  • Cloves and cinnomon.
  • Salt for taste.
  • Pepper powder - 2 to 3 tbl. spoon.

PROCESS

1. Cut beef in to small or medium pieces.

2. Boil required amount of water. Remove it from the stove and add turmeric into it and stir it untill the turmeric completely dissolves in the hot water.

3. Add beef into the hot water and keep it for 15 minutes. (This process removes the raw smell and also this can be done for any meat before you actually start cooking.)

4. Strain the water from the meat and put it in a pressure cooker.

5. Add chopped onions, coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste, red chilli power, coriander powder, salt for taste and water.

6. Cook untill the beef is cooked.

7. Remove the beef from the cooker(the water can be used as a soup) and strain the water.

8. Heat oil in a sauce pan, put some cloves and cinnamon, add chopped onions and then fry it untill the onion becomes golden brown.

9. Add the beef into it and cook it for 10 minutes and then add required amount of pepper. In case if salt is insufficient, add it now.

10. After adding the pepper cook it for 5 to 10 minutes untill the colour of the dish turns black and then remove it from the sauce pan and serve it.

The taste comes from the finely rosted onions. If you are a onion lover, you can add more onions in step 8. If you want the dish to be spicy, add more pepper in step 9. Beef pepper fry can be served with any dishes including sandwiches.
